Meet Gladis, a resilient senior pup who has found her way to us after being abandoned by her previous owner. At 13 years old, turning 14 this March, Gladis has a remarkable spirit despite the challenges she's faced. When she was found wandering the streets, her fur was matted, and she was covered in stickers and burrs. But we couldn't turn our backs on her.

We immediately took Gladis to the vet for vaccinations and grooming. Unfortunately, during that visit, we received some tough news: Gladis had a severe heart murmur (6/6) and an extremely enlarged heart, indicating the early stages of congestive heart failure. We were told she might only have 6 months to a year left, even with medication.

That was 8 months ago. Gladis has proven to be a true fighter. She loves sitting in her bed, grumbling affectionately at her friends. Despite having double luxating patella, which makes her walk a bit unsteady, it doesn't stop her from toddling around the yard.

Stay tuned for some fun facts about our incredible Gladis!
